This is a lovely little restaurant with a totally local Portuguese feel. Fresh ingredients, very generous portions. The wine and beer offerings are varied and of fine quality. No one hurries you along and at least several restaurant employees speak excellent English. They are even tolerant of my very mediocre Brazilian Portuguese... we have been there twice, and will probably return for dinner tonight.

Love this place. The staff are so friendly and more than happy to explain all the dishes on the menu. The food is beautifully served and even more delicious to eat. We have eaten here a few times over the last week, lunchtime and for dinner. We all tried something different and every dish was so tasty. The burger Me-Me is definitely worth a try, as is the chicken & mango salad. I could not recommend Abakua any more highly.
