Old hotel that Pestana Group acquired and facelifted. Small investment so you can tell it is an old one... toilets, furniture, etc, all quite old fashion... my room air conditioning wasn't working (just venting), hadn't kettle for a coffee, internet picking up just in the room not in the toilet. Dinner and breakfast were pretty good and waiters extremely friendly and helpful. The site were the hotel lays its amazing: on a low altitude cliff turned to sea (careful because half of the rooms don't have that view), a nice pool and a dark sandy beach nearby (walking distance) makes of it a pleasant choice.

Clean and comfortable hotel near Villa Franca. The location is great if you have rented a car; we did and it made the whole experience more convenient. However did see a few taxis around the hotel can surely call. The location is remote which can be a pro and con, the secluded feeling is really amazing and allows you to indulge in the surroundings however basically no restaurants or shops within walking distance. There is one beach front cafe not far that has drinks and snacks. The room is very large and spacious and ocean view was picturesque. Breakfast included was a good value. Lots of families over our stay.
Older but very nice Hotel. Big and clean rooms with great view (we had one with sea view). We had a great two weeks vacation there.
Large room (junior suite) with superb sea view. Very pleasant and well kept surroundings. Nice pool. Woefully ininadequate air-conditioning. Not very clean bathroom fixtures despite apparently recent general overhaul. Generally friendly service but not very knowledgeable reception crew

Great hotel with great service and views of the ocean! Love listening to the frogs and birds they are very vocal. Also, If you stay here visit the beach bar.
Excellent stay at this nice hotel. Most importantly, I felt safe, which is something I value in these Covid times. Friendly staff, nice facilities, wonderful beach right next to the hotel. All in all, very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable.
A great experience. To start with I was given a better room - A suite with a seasight. The room is big, spacious and lovely. The hotel might be a bit outdated but is located at the shore of the ocean and the surroundings are so beautiful that it makes up for everything. You wake up to a sound of waves and a breath taking view with a clean air that old wall paper doesn't make much difference. The hotel is clean and well maintained and staff friendly. On top of this there is a nice pool to swim in. My kid loved it. Water warm and pleasant. Food is ok.
