Amazing location, cozy but sophisticated, ocean view, a lot of menu options, delicious and thought presentation, staff wonderful, accessible prices. Definitely recommend!

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch today in A Vela Branca. We had no reservation, and it was fully booked, but they found us a lovely table. I had prawns followed by swordfish, my partner had a steak. All were cooked perfectly. Dimitri who looked after us from start to finish recommend a rose wine which worked perfectly. Both deserts were the perfect size and our overall experience was 5 stars. The view is fantastic. Thank you and we'll be back. Great value

Stunning setting, very good food, just a great place. Fish dishes are excellent and original in their presentation. Desserts are even better, we would definitely come back here!

We were just at A Vela Branca for lunch. Let me start by saying the food was good, and the servers, when they actually spoke to us, were friendly. What I took issue with was being ignored. We asked for bottled water three separate times. The tables around us with the same waiters managed to receive water, we however did not. No one asked how our meal was and we ended up not getting a second glass of wine with dinner because no one came by. The odd thing was that the tables around us seemed to receive an abundance of attention. I would like to add, in case anyone is wondering, we were not the best or worst dressed and consider ourselves to be polite and we both come from Portuguese families speaking the language even though we are more accustomed to english. Very disappointing, nothing ruins a meal like poor service.

Bacalhau was a bit dried snd cheese cake was not as good as a year ago whe I first had it. I did not feel the taste of the \cheese\ at all. Wine was good and prices were also acceptable for a place of this standard. Sitting outside is great because of the views to the sea.
