I visited in May of 2018 and only had a chance to review today. This place was very quaint and popular among the locals. The dishes were made of freshly caught fish and fresh meats. Although the plating wasn't so fancy or neatly done, the food was definitely delicious. Server was very good at pairing wines with certain dishes which I loved. Overall a great experience with my family.

Our meal was of great value. We ordered two seafood dishes; tuna steak and a Frijao do camarao (beans with shrimp stew). The combo was spot on and as much as we loved it, we had to bring what we couldn't finish home with us. I had eaten here two years ago and happy to say the service, food and ambiance have all improved. We want to come back next week.

They have such delicious vegetarian dishes! We didn't have reservation so we waited 5 min ( we were told 15-20). It was worth !

Food and service outstanding. Very fresh and tasty flavours on each of our plates. I had the bean stew which arrived in its own pot with rice - I had to take some home, there was so much. Chorizo on fire was fun and had just enough char flavour. The regional nice was very tender and delicious. The sides were just as tasty as the mains, which to me, is a true sign that the kitchen knows what they are doing, rather than throwing overcooked frozen vegetables on the plate as a lazy attempt at a balanced meal (a la Restaurante da Associacao Agricola de Sao Miguel). Our server did not speak English but we managed very well (thanks Google Translate) but his young co-worker spoke excellent English and our overall experience was of the utmost professionalism, kindness and fun. Very affordable for the quality of dining. Highly recommend.

Coming from Alberta Canada and being far from the ocean we ordered their tuna steak signature dish which was amazing! The restaurant served our large group of 12 and we were very happy with the service and food quality. Plus coming from Canada we were pleasantly surprised with how affordable the food was here.

Very nice restaurant - I just had a starter - chorizo on fire. It was huge - for me it was a main dish :). The vegetable stir fry was albo very tasty. The service as everywhere - professional kind and helpfull :).
