We found this ceramic store in Ribiera Grande. We ordered 6 tiles to update the rusting tiles on the face of our AL. We are very happy with the quality of workmanship. The atmosphere is quiet, friendly and very beautiful. The service was very efficient and turnaround for our order was 2 - 3 weeks.

A quiet but full shop with many different designs and tiles. One woman was busily working on the painting of a new mug, and her paintbrush flowed gently over the ceramic making the elegant patterns so familiar and ubiquitous in Portuguese art. There are cups, saucers, plates, bowls, frieze tiles and mural tilings with many different designs. There are also the volcanic pomous rock with ceramic decorating one face, which works as either a hot plate or decoration. It was a nice place to get a number of keepsakes and gifts.
It is open! This is a great place to get locally made souvenirs and ceramics that are beautiful and affordably priced. There is only a showroom/store, there are no tours of the factory.
