Exclusively hand-made souvenirs made at the store by REAL people.

I’m disappointed to see that my negative review posted 3 months ago has been removed. We were happy with the appearance and quality of the store and it’s products but recommend that you supervise the packaging of your purchases here. We opened up our package when we arrived home only to find that the most expensive tile was not there. Instead there was a cheap one. Approximate cost difference of 15 EUR. My original review provided the date and time of purchase.

Excellent is not even enough to describe it. I hope it can remain in business for decades to come. Stores like this is what gives Porto its special character. You'll find very characteristic art pieces of an age long lost in Porto.

One of the best souvenir shop I’ve ever visited. It’s actually an artisan shop… they paint all the little tiles by hand, in the shop (you can see them being made in front of you). They have a huge selection of souvenirs and not the typical “Made in China” mass produced ones (3-4 euros for a fridge magnet). The price is fair in my opinion and it’s nice to know you are buying something that’s unique. So, if you are looking to buy some souvenirs to take home, this is the place to visit. They have several shops around Porto – I think the one in Rua Alexandre Herculano is not as busy, as it’s a 10 minute walk from the city center.

After spending 200 euros and when going back with my passport, now that I've paid for my big shopping, the personals at the store, in front of the owner, tell me that their store is not part of the VAT refund scheme even though at the airport I find out that I could have gotten 30 euros back but cant because the people, including the owners or the store, were lazy and inconsiderate of their customer needs. I regret buying anything from there. Shame on them. If you respect your hard earned money then go to any other place and buy what these people sell. BtTW, nothing special as compared with what you'll see in Lisbon.

Best place to buy Porto souvenirs, exclusively made by local artists (on the spot!) - not a single \made in China\ souvenir, here :)
