For and readers, this is a little Mecca of fantastic finds! The bookstore has old charm and is located perfectly, a short distance from the madding crowds. I was slightly disappointed with the selection of English books- 2 shelves at most.

The owner of this shop is a THIEF. I carefully selected four old postcards, I paid for them and when I came home I discovered that in the envelope the seller had put just ONE of the postcards I had paid for. It was a gift and I felt so ashamed that I had been robbed like this. 100% do NOT recommend.

I can't take pictures at inside cause photography is forbidden in the store, but it is so beautiful. It was a bookstore with history, past and time. It is a nice space in a noisy tourist spot. I was so sorry about I didn't know Portuguese.
