Very pretty library, which makes sense as it has been named the most beautiful library in the world. It is also where JK Rowling got inspiration for the Harry Potter series. However, there is usually a line and you must pay a ticket to get in. Additionally, if you are actually looking for a bookstore where to buy books and maybe take your time looking at stuff, this is not the place I would recommend.

I feel like a total grinch but to me this is a beautiful building that is totally spoiled by the jostling hordes. Yeah yeah it's a cool staircase, and yeah ok they have some tie up with Harry Potter but... I would spend my time elsewhere, personally. It's in a city dripping with history, no need to crowd into this one little piece of it. And as a bookshop, it's not very good. Unless you want to buy Harry Potter books I guess.
