Pretty church, but not worth the line or wait, despite having a good tower view. Since COVID, the number of patrons have been limited. There's a line to buy the ticket, wait for a time-slot, then come back and wait in the line. Once you enter, you go through the church and check out some exhibits, but honestly, most of them weren't that interesting. The church was pretty and had an organist playing while we were there. Then you walk and wait in another line to get up the (very tiny) steps to the tower and was quite crowded. You get a good view of the city, but that's pretty much it. It would be better to have a separate line and ticket just for the tower. Overall, if it's not crowded it's good, but not worth the wait.

It’s a central landmark in the city - 5 to go up to the tower and it gets very busy during the day, so I recommend either go during morning (as early as possible) or around lunch. It’s very beautiful and the tower has a good view over the city. Definitely one thing to do in Porto and also close to the HP library.
A truly beautiful church. Magnificent structure and magnificent religious art. Curiously, it managed to seem.quite low key at the same time.
The church was like any other church built during this time. The main attraction here is the tower, from where you can get a good view of Porto.
With a 5 euro ticket you can visit the church ( which is free anyway), the museum and the tower. The tower has a very spectacular view of the city.
Igreja dos Clérigos is a great church in Porto and the attached Clérigos Tower are one of my favorites overall in Portgual. As soon as you walk in you can feel all of the history and the centuries of faith all around you. It is a magnificent church inside and outside as the exterior and tower portion is grand and awe inspiring and the interior is beautifully decorated and has so many things to see and details to observe and notice. I liked the overall atmosphere and vibe of this church as it was welcoming and accommodating. They are very well organized and are able to efficiently handle many visitors at once without being overly crowded or noisy and keeps the lines moving so everyone has a chance to enjoy the church. The views from the tower are amazing as you get a chance to see a 360 view of Porto and truly appreciate all that the city has. I had a wonderful time here.
Interesting place to see. A LOT of stairs to climb so be aware of that and wear confortable shoes! The museum part is a small part, quite quick to visit and then you go to the top of the tower. Only one path so you may have to wait to go up or down but it's normal regarding the architecture of the place. It's not possible to go only to the top of the tower, you have to see also the museum. The staff is nice.
