Normally; on my first day of arrival in a city; I use sightseeing hop on hop off busses to visit all the landmarks in a quick review. I thing one of the best bus companies is hop on hop off buses.

It's a good way to see Porto. On the other side all interesting points are close into the city. So you can also discover the city by your feet.
I had never tried this kind of bus tour before and after one day's use will never use them again. It seems like a nice option because they will get you to all the major landmarks but the buses travel only one direction and come pretty inconsistently. The stops were hard to find unless you were dropped off at the particular spot. Ended up being pretty restrictive, it would be cheaper to buy a day pass on the public transit in lisbon and have much more freedom in movement.
Porto tour- Over 2 days we had to move between seats to try numerous speaker points to get the commentry working. The commentary re sights was verrry limited, brief, very short and barely understandable as the speaker read the script and spoke quickly. Would have been great to have some decent narration given each line of the tour goes for up to 2 hours.
We took the tour for two days and were a bit disappointed. It is good that the audio guide on the bus is available in many languages. And with the two lines you get a good overview of all Porto. But the information you get on the bus was not very detailed. The Hop on Hop off map is offering some discounts. Unfortunately the 25% discount for the Serralves museum was not accepted there.
The worse audio ever. I have tried English, German and Dutch, all read with terrible Portuguese accent and stones in the mouth. Never had, till now, so terrible experience with hop on hop off busses. The Porto one is definetly the worse out of all. Take yellow line.
Autobuzele Hop on Hop off sunt o varianta rapida si comoda sa iti faci o impresie printr-un tur de oras (din pacate nu am avut decat o zi la dispozitie ca sa vizitam acest oras). Dupa ce am parcurs cca 80% din tur, noi am ales sa coboram langa podul Luis I care cred ca este zona reprezentativa pentru Porto. In aceasta arie te poti plimba pe ambele maluri ale raului, servi masa, vizita si desigur degusta un vin de Porto intr-unul dintre vechile depozite folosite in trecut pentru pastrarea butoaielor cu vin, acum reamenajate pentru vizitare si servirea turistilor.
Je doet het liever niet omdat je direct een echte toerist bent, maar hele goede manier om door te stad te bewegen en info te verzamelen over de stad. Wel erg warm En door de drukt sta je veel stil waardoor het ook niet afkoelt... alsnog beter dan lopend alles ontdekken in het drukke porto
