Great steaks! Definitely visit if you’re staying in the area
Delicious home cooked food. Very friendly staff and with well spoken English. Not much choice for seafood but plenty of meat. All of it cooked over real charcoal grill. The place has stone walls and high ceiling.
I wanted to give it 4 and a half stars, but Google only allows full stars and this review is closer to a 5 than a 4. The restaurant is super pretty, quiet, very typically furnished and designed. The waitress that attended our table was super nice and her English was spot on. The food is where I would take half a star away from top rating. The food was very tasty and well cooked, but me and my gf had a steak and a filet of bacalhau (codfish) that could've been better seasoned. The bacalhau was too salty and still tasted a bit like the sea. I had bacalhau multiple times but this one was a bit weird. The steak lacked seasoning. The salad was delicious! Desert was also very nice and in the end the waitress offered us a shot of ginginha. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent place to eat, you will not regret. Food taste and quality is exception. The steaks are some of the best i have had in Portugal. I Had a great time.

Local muito tradicional que mantém a originalidade da construção e os detalhes campestres. Pratos escolhidos: Borrego assado na lenha e Presas de Porto Preto, uma boa escolha com os acompanhamentos ideais para o prato. O staff atencioso e cuidado embora pudessem criar um pouco mais de relação, com o cliente/turista mas nada disto é crítica negativa apenas construtiva em comparação com outros locais visitados na relação-preço. Recomendo a 100% a visita pois trata-se de um local que cumpre todas as normas de segurança relativamente ao Covid. De salientar que o espaço além de muito agradável e acolhedor é extremamente limpo.
A comida muito boa! Comemos o bacalhau e as costeletas de borrego.. e estavam divinais! Com produtos da horta privada ainda ficam melhores. O atendimento próprio de quem vive na sua casa e recebe as pessoas de bom grado. Aconselha-se a provar a ginja de fabrico caseiro e não querer trazer uma garrafa para casa.
