What an excellent choice, we also done the wine tasting and tour the cost is 12 per person but worth every penny. The tour takes between 30 to 45 min and include the museum with a full explanation about the key points of the history of the winery, plus the cellar again full explanation about the different types of port and how are produced, them the last bit which is the tasting of one white and red reserve port.

The tour was fun for 12 euros per person - you get to see the museum and cellar. However, not the hugest fan of port wines- a bit too sweet. Winery is huge though - very comfortable place to hang out.

I’ve tried quite some port (even the snooty portologia place across the river) from the various brands and I still come back to Ramos Pinto. As a tawny fan, their 20 year is the best. Coming here was great. Lovely staff, nice comfy tasting area, reasonable prices. You can even do port and chocolate tasting.

I have visited this place with a walking wine tour. Really nice museum but I didn’t understand why we couldn’t take picture since you see the images on internet! No sense in these days... lot of different wines, but the the Porto White Riserva was the best they gave us to taste. Like to taste all other wines next time there.

Loved every minute of my tour here. RP may not be the oldest Winery in Portugal, but it definitely has the most colourful history! If you have even a day in Gaia or Porto, please come and do a tour here!
