Take a long walk along the promenade. Or sunbath on the gorgeous beach and take in the lovely setting. Why not stop off and have a bottle or two of brick bearing one of the restaurants.

Good marina, good facilities, showers, pontoons etc, pleasant and helpfully staff. Note pontoons and reception pontoon low, if high freeboard request help to mooring up or be faced with long jump down. Not the marinas fault, but long walk to shops.

We left from Portimao marina to go on a dolphin watching trip. There are cafes and restaurants nearby, and beautiful scenery.

Very good place to stay in the winter with your Catamaran or other big boat. 50% price reduction for catamarans. Water and electricity free. Very secure band well managed harbour. Nearby Marina Hotel with pool and good Restaurant.

VERY crowdy yesterday and although families respected social distancing this wasn't the case of crowds of teenagers esp on the pier!! USUALLY a very nice beach, great for walking if you don't want to sunbathe...
