Best rental service on the island. Booked a car twice with them in horizont of 3 years and both times very satisfied. You can get car as cheap as 7 euros per day. Without insurance obviously but couldn't be more happy about it. Stuff at the office very helpful as well, although they motivate you to buy insurance, you don't have to. Deopist possible to pay even in cash. They have fees for returning car back dirty tho but you can easily clean it yourself or use their facility which is anyway where you deliver the car when returning. You can also fill up the tank there. Price was 1.31 end of 2020 for 95.

We were prevented to travel to the Azores due to testing positive. Cancelled our booking 48h before the date and asked for a refund. It has been 4 days and this rental doesn't want to give us our money back and insist on offering a voucher.

Good guides and good variety of tours. We did a boat fun tour, rented a motorbike and rented a bicycle during our one week stay here. All was great and had some good days here.

A wonderful service! Check-in and out were fast and without any fuss, the people who run it speak excellent English and are very friendly and efficient. There are no hitches in the contract either. The car was new and we got an upgrade without any extra charge. I definitely recommend ANC Car rental services - the best we have got so far after years of renting. The Sao Migel experience is very precious for us and it was made possible by the ANC.

We went on the quad tour to Sete Cidades and saw some wonderful sights. We were sadly let down by the lax approach to safety. Our quad only had one side mirror - which meant we could not see when cars and trucks were trying to pass us. When I raised this with the guide, I was told that it was only the guides, not customers, that needed two side mirrors. Sure. The side mirror we did have was hopelessly loose and next to useless, except when constantly readjusted while riding. Also, despite having booked for 2 people, we were given a small one-person quad, rather than one of the two-person quads we also saw in use. This was very uncomfortable over the course of the day, especially for the passenger. When I raised this with the guide, we were told that the smaller quad is actually better because the larger ones are more prone to malfunction (then why are you providing them to other customers?)

Rent-a-car client service was perfect, great prices, great experience. We bought full insurance in advance though it probably wasn't necessary but we weren't sure what we could expect on island ( but we've booked with some big discount) and everything went super smooth. Highly recommended if you don't want a headache with rental companies.

Brand new car (it only had been driven for 40kms) and affordable prices. The intial registration took a bit longer than expected, so make sure to be there early! Also the shuttle-van to the car pickup location took about 15mins.
