Pineapple plantation. You can see the cultivation of pineapples up close and walk through the greenhouses and see all the stages of pineapple growth. In addition, pineapples can be purchased directly at the local shop. And other pineapple delicacies, including liqueur. Also a lot of souvenirs. Nice place for a trip.

Unique place to visit and friendly staff. The mixture of green houses allow you to see the different stages of pineapple production from planting all the way to harvest. Interesting spot to visit if you can. The cafe is worth a visit too for all things pineapple flavoured. It's also free entry.

Great place, very informative. I think the cafe prices are too high for some items. Not sure if they should/could offer to buy the pineapples directly but it would have been nice to buy one as entrance is free

Thanks to our personal guide of Pure Azores ( a local tour team ) we were informed about how Dr.Augusto Arruda transformed an old orange farm and how it became one of the islands most important pineapple plantations on the island of Sao Miguel. You we see the pineapples at various development stages of cultivation in the original greenhouses, but there is one secret which is a unique process to this place.?

This place is super adorable! There is a little gift shop on site and a bunch of greenhouses that are growing pineapples at various life stages. You can walk around here free of charge and look at the pineapples. There are a lot of tour groups that go through this place but really you could just go on your own. If you have a car, there is parking just across the street. I believe there is also a bus stop just outside of the plantation.

Lovely experience. Pineapple liquor is delicious! However the pineapple pieces (4.50) & juice (3.50) at the bar are a bit too pricey given that they are produced there. Overall a great experience though!

Very nice place to see a lot of pineapple, how do they grow step by step. You can taste them as well, or can drink a good cocktail or liquor as well. The atmosphere is absolute pleasure, so go there and enjoy.
