Manel is a Caneças institution where everybody go for the absolutely freshest and best seafood at very reasonable prices in an informal and traditional ambience. You have not tried seafood if you have not been here. Just check the photo of our percebes last night...

Restaurante típico português - no frills, good food, unbelievably inexpensive, food served until late (around 10.30pm). Highly recommended if you are looking for a proper portuguese food experience looking beyond looks and focusing on taste and the real deal. Loved the vinho branco à pressão (sorry don't know how to say it in English but its wine no label but so, so good - again typical Portuguese).
