Stylish, quiet, thoughtful. Excellent service. Either in a family vacation or in a romantic escape you'll have everything you need to have the most relaxing time here. I've just had the most perfect days with my family. The common areas are stunningly beautiful, the huge gardens and the two pools (one only for adults and another one for children) are probably the most beautiful I have even been at. The compound is big enough so that you only listen to the birds and the sounds of nature. We stayed in a room with a little terrace in the ground floor with a garden view and it was amazing to wake up to the sun rise over the beautiful garden. Breakfast is now offered a la carte as a covid hygiene measure and it is not only complete but also of great quality. You can have dinner at one of their restaurants in the pool area where you have outdoor sitting in the most charming part of the garden overlooking the pool with little lights in the trees. So romantic. The hotel also has outdoor cinema, outdoor fireplaces, and innumerous experiences such as spending a day at ta desert beach with an amazing pic nic prepared by the staff. Everyone in the team was efficient, extremely nice, well-educated and not at all invasive. They would go above and beyond to make your stay worthwhile.

Lovely hotel. Staff were excellent and the grounds are amazing. Highly recommended if you like boutique hotels but fancy a bit more space for a change. Equally nice for adults and kids, couples or families, singletons or groups. Big thanks to Joaquin and the team. We'll definitely be back.

Thought a lot on how to rate as there were some very nice things about it but also a lot of negatives. Overall, staff is very friendly and willing to assist with luggage, bringing towels to the room etc. On this note, everything was as expected. Breakfast is great and there is a lot of choice of food, juices, coffees. Room was nice and clean. The reason I give it 3 stars is because it doesn’t meet my expectations for a 5 star hotel and for the price that you pay. For instance, you need to pay for water and you are only allowed 1 bottle of water (330ml) per day for free. You get coffee capsules (nespresso) in the room but you only get 5 free ones in total for the whole stay. Then you need to pay. Some things just didn’t match the price and this was certainly the biggest problem for me. On top of that, minor things like not knowing if we can check out later until 1 hour before check out, cheap hairdryer in the room, cheap uncomfortable pillows. Other than that, the stay is great and I would recommend it however I stand by my words that it is a bit overpriced for what it is. The hotel should be 4 stars and at least 60/70 euros cheaper a night

To keep in short: one of the nicest hotels I've ever been. Casual luxury. Beautiful large gardens, with flowers and old trees around. Great room, great staff, great food. My personal highlight: the daily open-air cinema in the summer months. Hope to come back...

Been here (the restaurant that is) a couple of times now. This is a tricky review to write. Some things are great, nice ambiance, lovely bread, local olive oils, flavoured butter etc. Service also friendly, although they could make the booking experience a bit more welcoming. I love the fact that they are filtering their own water...but charging you mineral water price kind of misses the point! Makes an expensive restaurant feel somehow cheap, if you get my point. Having lived in London for 20 odd years means I’ve no problem paying 10 euros for dessert...but in the East Algarve I need it to be super tasty. Pizzas could also be better, although they are in no way bad. With a little effort this could be 5 stars and the area does need a place like this. Can’t give more than 3 stars right now, but will keep going back

My husband and I stayed here almost three years ago. I still dream about it. From the room to the food to the staff, everything was amazing. The views were peacefully breathtaking. Thank you to the amazing team and the owner who made us feel so welcomed. Hope to be back with our little one soon.

We stayed at Vila Monte Farm House as part of a bike tour and found this to be a real oasis. The farmhouse and grounds were very .... well, being from the states, very CA sheikh and contemporary. We had a huge suite with a large patio seating area. The grounds, landscaping and views were exceptional; manicured and kept immaculate. There were plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy including 2 pools, an outdoor movie theatre, bicycles and tennis courts among other amenities. The dining too was certainly fine of which a highlight was a virtually private and unhurried Port tasting conducted by an expert in the field.

Gorgeous property with orange groves, pools and a fantastic restaurant. They take their bread very seriously and its delicious....multiple different kinds for different plates and pairings. Solid breakfast buffet not to be missed. Decent gym for a work out. Sweet aromas of Orange groves and rustic scent of wood fire throughout.
