Just to say our six day stay in the 'Palácio da Lousã Boutique Hotel' was a delight. Comfortable rooms, a peaceful little park to relax in, a pool, too, to refresh after the beautiful hikes we'd do around - above all, the kindest and most dedicated of staff. I shan't forget the splendid breakfast and pleasant restaurant. Just as important in those troubled times: the management's hygienic practices which made us feel more than safe. Again, a real delight.

Great all around. Comfortable, great spaces, good breakfast, small but quality room service menu and beautiful building and views. Unfortunately, if you get a room where internet doesn't work they won't fix it. They say they will try, and they checked that router is ok and give you an ethernet cable. But if this doesn't work, you're stuck with going to the public rooms and get internet there. When it works, it is fast.
Even if there aren’t many things to do in Lousã, it’s worth so spend one night in this place. I travelled for 2 weeks across Portugal and this was one of the most comfortable location I slept (the weather obviously helped a lot, it was sunny but not hot, first days of May). I slept in the old palace, superior room, it was really spacious. The pool looks better in the official pictures of the hotel, then in reality (check my picture), however I don’t really care, we stopped here to relax and we did.
Helpful friendly staff, very clean and safe rooms
This is probably one of the best hotels in the area in a historic part of Lousã with a very fine restaurant to match .. also probably one of the best in the area. You can expect to dress up a little bit but still feel very relaxed in this beautifully renovated and designed dining lounge with beautiful views across the Lousã town and valley. The menu is reassuringly small with a selection of very good dishes, the service is friendly, efficient, and on point. You would find it very hard to find a better place to stay or even just to visit for dinner in this area.
Very nice hotel, makes you feel like royalty ;) breakfast was great! but the town itself is very boring.
