Terrible service when things go wrong. Our request for a refund went unanswered for more than a year. The Facebook community is full of complaints and calls for help. I have shared my experiences there and helped those affected. Among other things, I pointed out the official complaints offices. I was in contact with some users and was able to point out deadlines. Now I realise: I no longer have access to the community. Well, well...

Is it possible to give 0 stars? Waiting on a refund for nearly 7 months since our flight was canceled due to covid. Calling the airline costs a lot and most of the time they just hang up or disconnect the call. After calling again today, we were told AGAIN they are still processing. DO NOT BOOK WITH TAP IF YOU WANT A QUICK REFUND. We had many flights booked with other airlines and they have all been able to refund the money. Not sure what the problem is with TAP but I’m tired of the response “we received a lot of requests.. we are doing everything we can”. End of the story, we will never fly tap again, we will warn all of our friends and family never to fly tap, and we are hiring a company to demand the money from the airline as at this point it feels like they are stealing our money while they try to recover their losses. I hope to have someone contact me in a timely manner, and no, I will not “reach out to your call center or on Facebook/Twitter” because as I have clearly seen, it does not work and only costs me time and money.

We had an incredible bad experience with TAP when we arrived from Brazil at Lisbon with a connecting flight to Zürich. We stayed at the TAP lounge but there was no announcement on the electronic board about Boarding or Closing the Gate! The Board in the Lounge went directly within minutes from „Go To Gate“ to „Gate Closed“ and four of us missed the flight to Zürich! There was no support by the ground staff or at the TAP lounge. They send us out of the airport and we had to get 4 new tickets to ZRH plus we had to book a hotel room! I am flying in average 100000-200000 miles per year but this never happened to me before! This was a very disappointing experience and we all will try to avoid TAP whenever possible! Best regards Andreas

Due to a crowded airport and very late information on the final gate we missed our flight, although we were at the airport 2 hours before departure. We arrived literally 27 minutes before departure at the gate but we were told that it is already closed. Very unfriendly. They did not offer any solutions or support but told us we should book and pay for another flight, even with other airlines! Of course on our own charge. The airport office was no even able to inform us about alternative connections to other cities. Cost for flight changes was 4 times the price than the original flight. Finally we booked a new flight with Lufthansa. Never again TAP.

TAP is a terrible airline. They were frequently late but since Covid outbreak they now cancel many of their flights and getting a refund out of them is a nightmare. I recommend not booking flights with them if at all possible.

Since March 28, I have been trying to get a refund of 3,051, flights canceled on April 17, but TAP Air Portugal does not pay. I have sent many complaints to flytap.com but no refunds and TAP always asks me to call back a paid phone number to process my request which is costing me a fortune and no one answers except hang up without processing the request. Or ask me to do it with Facebook or Twitter, not possible. So no way to contact flytap other than via the forums. I am therefore now waiting to be contacted by TAP Air Portugal at [email protected] By no longer hoping to have to post negative opinions on all the forums. Franck.
