Great restaurant with really typical Angola’s food. Presentation and flavor are above average. Friendly staff and service. Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Stopped by in search of a light - but filling - bit of mid-week lunch to pass the time while waiting to be called up at a nearby bureaucratic centre. Mwana Pwo hit the spot perfectly. Fresh, well-balanced dishes that were comforting without being heavy. Friendly and considerate service. Particularly recommend the calulu de peixe with the funge de milho... And of course some fiery gindungo on the side.

A wonderful surprise of Angolan food. Must confess I knew virtually nothing about Angolan food, so we decided to try a mix of vegetarian dishes and a chicken cabidela with corn funge. As a starter we had prawns with white wine, herbs and garlic. The prawns were flawless, tasty and cooked to perfection. All four dishes in the vegetarian mix (mushrooms with peanut, greens, beans and mandioca, potato and banana) were very good but they all seemed to be sides. Also, they all paired nicely with the chicken which was very good. To finish, we had peanut ice cream, which was creamy and tasty. The múcua (fruit) juice was fresh but the flavor is very mild with notes of honey and lemon. Only thing that was less positive was the corn meal bread (broa) - it was stone cold and dry. The corn funge didn’t taste like much but in all honesty I have no idea what it’s supposed to taste like... Personally I’d have enjoyed it a bit more if it had a bit of salt (added during cooking, not on the plate). The staff was also very kind, helpful and efficient. All in all, a great experience.

Nice place if you wanna try good food from Angola Employee are professional and friendly, food is good and entertainment was good too. The inside would need some design and better lightning and disposition.
