At the very heart of beautiful Lisbon, this is very crowded plaza where you can find lots of shops, historical buildings, restaurants and city tour buses. It has a famous statue of former Dom Pedro I emperor, from 19th century. It's a very nice place for a short visit and then connect to many other places in downtown.

Obviously this remains a critical gathering place in the heart of Lisbon along the Tangus Riverfront. The size and scale are most impressive. In the future, I would hope that Portugal begins to honor its important women of the past as well as of the future, as time marches on.

Here is the subway Rossio. From this square you can walk along the pedestrian and parallel streets to the central square and the embankment. many cafes and restaurants. Shops with brand clothes and shoes. A lot of tourists.

Very nice square. When we were there a small market selling sausage, sangria, other meats...just a whole load of mini food stalls. Great for a quick bite and drink. Not sure how long it's there for but this is the place I usually get a tram or the tourist bus from

Praca da Figueira is a nice square in the centre of Lisbon. It's kind of hard to miss as it's so central and also on the way to some notable Lisbon landmarks no matter which way you're headed. As with most European public squares, there a lot of cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating to enjoy the views, especially with the districts of Alfama and Penha Franca in the background.

Had a lovely stay in Lisbon. Nice city with nice food, history and people. The street performers at night is great as well!
