Traditional family restaurant, excellent cuisine with authentic Portuguese dishes. There are not many dishes available. But they are so delicious. We had a great lunch: dourada and robalo fishes with boiled potatoes and fresh vegetables. The owners are very nice and do their best. Highly recommended this little restaurant!

Seafood rice is so delicious and came with 5 big prawns and clams in the rice! For 10 was worth it. Small place and owner does not speak English. Menu in English in Window.

Great hidden gem for a local dinner in Lisbon. Lovely find will return for sure! I'd advise trying to call in advance since it's quite a small space it can get full quite early,

We were very hesitant to go in there at first but decided to go anyway as everything on TripAdvisor was closed even though it was meant to be open. This place wasn't on English TripAdvisor and a few rough translations indicated that the framework was bad but the food is good. Anyway it says on the front that this place has been open since 1979, and the 'framework' doesn't look like much has changed. But it seems like the chairs are sturdy and comfy enough rather than those rustic and wooden ready to fall apart ones. And the owner could have come straight from Bergerac or Life on Mars. Anyway, the menu is basic (although promotes real traditional Portuguese cuisine) and most of it handwritten which meant Google translate didn't work. Never fear. The owner translated everything for us as best he could and when he didn't know a word to describe a fish or a clam he busted out his picture encyclopedia of food to show us that they had sea bass and sea bream. I went for steak and chips, although you don't get to choose how you want it but it's also 6.90 and also delicious, the fries/chips were hand made and fried to order, and it was pretty damn good. The missus had the seafood rice which everyone seemed to be getting. What a mistake I made. It was gorgeous!!! There were at least 6 huge prawns in there and what must have been a whole crab mixed into the rice which she unearthed the more she delved into the piping hot clay pot as well as countless clams and a few mussels. All of this followed by exclamations of how delicious it was. I tried some myself and wished I had got that as well. They do in fact do a seafood rice for two for 18. Single portion is 9. This was followed up by some melon and a lovely cold beer to enjoy during the meal. All for just under 20. Hugely recommended. It's a massive hidden gem.

The food was incredibly salty. Each of our 6 had different dishes and each of them were pucker-worthy salty. The owner/manager made no effort to explain anything on the menu. He also placed bread upon the table then proceeded to charge us for it when we had no desire for it in the first place. We attempted to explain to him we didn't want it, but he forced us to pay for dry, overcooked bland bread. Absolutely pitiful service, food, and experience. DO NOT EAT HERE.
