I was expecting, thanks to the comments made on Google and to the comments I heard from a few friends, a terrible experience. We arrived 20 mn before the appointment we had, we were in front of very nice and competent agents right on time, and they did everything needed to deliver our resident cards... in less than 10 mn. This office passed with flying colours our first test of a Portuguese public service. Thank you very much.

great public service, really helpful people, waiting to help the citizen, to solve the problem, going above and beyond the their ormal\ job to get the situation solved. Went there for passport renewal and the lady at the desk even phoned a colleague at another service to get me the help that I needed. 5 starts is not enough, all the team at passport renewal deserves 10 stars!!!!

Went there for Finanças service. The 2 ladies on service were such darlings and helpful. Never had I ever come across such wonderful people in the Portuguese public service. The best.

They are very slow, it’s ridiculous how they work you have to wait all day just to get information ℹ️... They are unprofessional!

Yes it does take long to get attended, but this does not mean you have to physically wait there during this time. Once you obtain your ticket at the entrance you may come back later. There is also a free service that smses you to notify you when your attendance slot is near (mine notified my 9 slots always giving me a good hour’s notice). So key point is to not wait there.

Witnessed a Bangladesh citizen living in Portugal being insulted and mocked from this arrogant, rude and unprofessional lady at IMT. Also, is it that complicated to be in 2020 and work in customer service without understanding even a little of English?!

Don't bother. I recommend moving to another country. Its faster than getting anything done at this office.
