Great restaurant! Simple yet with delicious food from around the world and extremely attentive service. Worth several visits to try various dishes, can’t go wrong with any...

American traveler....great backstory on why their menu exists and what food they serve and why. Great ambiance and service. Every detail is considered. I had the fish soup (very good) and the octopus. Fish soup was 6 euros and Octopus was 17 euros.

Loved it! The seabass Guiné Bissau style was fabulous. Worth a visit for sure.

I reviewed this restaurant shortly after it was opened towards the end of last year,2018. I was very enthusiastic with its food. But now time has come to downgrade them to three maybe even to two stars after some months as they lost the quality and the care they were identified with. I went several times after my first visit and started to notice the decline especially in the food they serve. But I thought l should give a chance or a second even a third chance until l revisited my original review. However, when I went on Monday, April 8th, the food they served was no longer to be edible. The crab they served as entree was a strange mix. Their signature dish baccala came in a liquid milk paste-purely an unidentified object— and rice with almost no baccala in it. Maybe it was a Monday and the cook was off. Service was bad. Waitresses used to speak English , not much anymore. Very hard time to communicate with them. I hope they recover fast and return to their glory days when they started the business. My original review when they got five stars from me follows below: Located in Lisbon’s one of the most upscale addresses, right across the Museo Arte Antiga and facing a picturesque piazza, this brasserie alike restaurant is a fairly new addition to the restaurant rich Lapa neighborhood. Their motto is “ all the food that speaks Portuguese”, referring to dishes coming from Brazil, Goa, Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde. Equipped with an English speaking friendly staff, it offers a joyful atmosphere along with tasty food enriched with spices and exotic flavors. Spider crab meat is a good way to start and then to be followed by Angolan dish muamba which is certainly worth a try. One of my other favorites is cassava and coconut milk puree with cod fish. But l could not resist stealing fork fulls of grilled octopus from my friend’s plate either.Only was not happy with their Timorese salad which really did not have any taste.

After the visit at the museum down the road, we found this nicely decorated restaurant. We were also attracted to the good deal menu that included drinks. However, it was a bummer that it only served on weekdays. Staff is very nice. I ordered this spicy pork curry. It was delicious!! The staff told me it might be very spicy but it was not spicy at all to my tongue. Coffee was nice and aromatic.

Adventuresome menu giving diners chance to try foods and drinks from the areas that once were part of Portugal. Think curries from Goa and Mozambique; spiced dim sum from Macau; grilled Octopus from Portugal. The shrimp curry was delicious but a bit smaller portion than the curried chicken both served with an aromatic coconut rice. Attentive service, small but well appointed wine list.
