It is really a wonderful place to study, steady WiFi, beautiful rooms and garden, the staff is helpful. The one missing star is for the relatively short opening hour and the extremely user-unfriendly book search system…

This is by far the best place to work in Lisbon. It's clean, quiet and beautiful... I would only like that it would open at 9.00... For those of us who use it to work 10AM can be quite late... And now in the summer 11AM is soooo late... These wonderful places should be available for people as much as they can...

The library has a cool atmosphere with several reading rooms, a lounge for charging your phone, computer interfaces, workdesks and free wifi. There is even a children's area.

Perfect. It has been renovated but conserves some of the old elements, such as the bookshelves, nice little tile details, and skirtings. It really gives a magic ambiance to it. It is furnished with new desks, chairs, lights and a lot of plugs. It also has reliable wi-fi and an outside part with grass and a coffee. The only bad thing is the restricted opening hours.

It's the best. Simply perfect. Desks and seating are exactly how a library in the 21 century should be. Staff are all calm and welcoming. Toilets are kept spotless and clean. There's heating in the winter and air con in summer. A wonderful terrace area over looking the garden. Beautiful architecture. A pleasant garden where you can also sit and work, along with a lovely cafe. Open Saturday afternoons. High speed wifi. Open till 7pm in winter season. Convenient location. It's the best place to study or work, and it's free. Thank you Lisbon, you've set a world standard on how perfect a Library can be.
