Best spot to learn about portuguese dishes, how to make them and having fun doing it! Highly recommend it and will return whenever I can.

Amazing experience! I believe I found this on AirBNB experiences and I am so glad I picked this place. This kitchen is a beautiful professional cooking school with stations set up for you to work at as well as a large table where you can eat your food when you are done. We made traditional Portuguese tarts as well as cod fritters. Everything was absolutely delicious! When we arrived, we were given aprons and name tags. Everything was set up for our class and we were taken through the process of making the tarts and cod. The instructors were super friendly and explained everything well. They even provide you with emailed recipes for the things you make so you can try it out at home. I highly recommend this experience if you are visiting Portugal!

Really great fun class with Joao, learning to make the pastel de nata as well as a salt cod fritter dish too (as there is some down time on the nata making for example when they’re cooking etc.). Clean modern environment and Joao couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The two hours flew by and we were pretty full after eating everything we had made. Definitely recommend for those visiting Lisbon

The standards for cleanliness and safety were excellent. Great recipes were shared electronically. The clam dish couldn’t have been better. Teaching skills were obvious as were relationship building. We were not allowed to clean up. The owners claimed that as their job. We enjoyed eating our delicious meal together with a serving of wine.

I had an amazing experience with Compadre Cooking School! We booked with them for our end of year company's party! We had teamwork activities prepared for our team, which had put all the team together with excitement to solve the challenges proposed! We strongly recommend booking with Compadre Cooking School! They were very professional, answered quickly to our inquiry, and the event itself was perfect! Great ambiance for a celebration and still we learned how to cook using our creativity!

Visited the cooking school July 3rd to make pastel de nata, turned out to be a private class with the owners to make this and cod fish fritters! It was very hands-on, the chef stood back and guided you step by step. The kitchen, which can cater for 12, is spacious and well laid out, easy to keep to social distancing with everything there to keep you clean and safe (lots of hand-sanitizer, sinks for hand-washing). Very knowledgeable guys, great stories about Portuguese origins of food, perfect English spoken too. We had a chance to sit down, eat and chat at the end, even got a polaroid with my masterpiece :). If you're passing through Lisbon now is good to take advantage of the quiet time! Really special experience. Thanks João and José.
