Best place in Lisbonne, kind of underground, just for friends and music lovers, shoudn t say this for will be in trouble next time to get a table. But Mafalda, the host deserves it. Cheers

Veeery nice and authentic food as well as the live music events (check fb for details-they have few tables)

Really nice traditional African food, the problem is the left us some appetizers - even good appetizers - we didn't ask on the table as we sat, and then they included them in the bill

Thank you Casa Mocambo! The food was delicious and I could taste home for a little bit there (I'm Angolan ;)). Red wine was spot on with our dish. Beautiful atmosphere!

The space is interesting and their intention to spread the African culture (something that is dreadfully needed) is commendable. It is actually the reason that makes me raise the review to 3 stars. We had the bread , butter and shrimps (7 small shrimps which costed 12.5) as appetizer. Then followed up by Muamba and Moqueca (both of them lacked a bit of their strong traditional taste), also drank a Sangria and shared a dessert, this amounted to almost to 60 euros (and 30% off , being booked by The Fork), which obviously has me rating their foodprices as a 2 stars. It does however explain why we were the only 2 persons in the restaurant for 2 hours on a Friday. Which is shame, the potential to be different and attract other kind of people, interested in culture is there! Edit: Since I cannot reply to the answer of the owner, and given the math in the response, then I must say that this restaurant either didn't apply the The Fork discount or the staff decided to up the values. Either case, it projects a bad image.

The food was good and decently priced, but considering that we were only 4 in the restaurant it took ages to prepare and my food came out cold. We had also ordered a salad that could have come out before the mains
