Great, simple sandwiches, eaten at the counter between the locals. Would recommend adding the sauces (which are also great, especially the yellow one - tastes kinda like vinaigrette) and ordering a beer. It is a perfect sandwich for a quick bite :)

Delicious bifanas. Very simple set up, don’t expect much by the way of seating or service. It is very much a hole in the wall serving lunch to hungry locals. Worth the trip!

From what we read this place has the best bifanas in Lisbon and that is absolutely true. We tried the bifanas at \O trevo\, but the meat was not as good. The meat at Afonso's is juicy (you can tell that the sauce it was cooked in is really good), the bun's fresh and the simple mustard and chilly sauce are a very good compliment to the sandwich. And all that for only 2.5eur. Strongly recommended!!!

The best place in town for a Bifana!!! Made with Fresh bread buns, jucy pork and a dollop of mustard and per-peri to go. Highly recommended

Wow. Tried top 3 bifanas in Lisbon and this is my no. 1! Tip: easy access using the elevator ;)

Hands down the best bifana we tried in Lisbon. Be aware there is nowhere to sit and dine. Well worth hanging around and eating it outside on the go.

Really recommend for a quick tasty (and cheap) lunch of local Bifana (pork roll) Yum Yum

This place was recommended by a tour guide and did not disappoint. Nice place to stop for lunch on the go (and it is only 2.50 for the pork roll). Limited tables and it is more of a place for a quick bite to eat rather than a sit down meal.
