This was my first rent a car in Portugal and I'm glad I've picked Amoita company. Online reservation, payment confirmation and communication through email went smoothly. Also change of pickup and drop off location at the last moment didn't cause any trouble. Although we arrived at the middle of the night, Paulo waited for us to pick up the car. Car was clean and ran smoothly through all 10 days we were staying in Portugal. I really recommend this rent-a-car office. I will definitely pick them next time I'm in Portugal.

After reading the horror stories online about renting a car in Portugal from other car companies, we were most pleasantly surprised to have no problems with Amoita, only exceptional customer service. The representative met us at the Airport with a sign, walked us to our car, and checked it out to us -- all in less than 10 minutes. She then met us at the nearby drop-off location (BP gas station), checked in the car, and then drove us to the airport -- again in less than 10 minutes. The car was beautiful and a perfect fit for driving around southern Portugal and Spain. It was spacious enough to accommodate our 4 bags but small enough to fit into tight spaces. The vehicle was well-maintained and we did not encounter any mechanical difficulties. Just to be safe we got the full insurance coverage, which gave us peace of mind on our trip. We also got the toll pass and special permit to drive in Spain and did not run into any problems with either. In our mind, there is no better choice to rent a car in Portugal than with Amoita. It is awesome!

As others have said, excellent service from Amoita. Rented from them to avoid the terminal and renting nightmare offered by the big companies. In the end, worked out great. In and out quickly, good car, quick return and no attempts to shake me down for more money. Go ahead and give them a try.
