I first employed the legal service provided by Luis in 2013, after reading very positive expat reviews. I had also read at that time, comments elsewhere, that suggested that house purchases in Portugal really don’t need the services of a lawyer. I can only say that I was very pleased to have Luis by my side at the grand meeting with the Notary, knowing that he had properly evaluated the numerous documents and that he was entirely confident that the house was properly registered, that the sellers did indeed own it AND that there were no debts registered against the property. Better still, being fluent in English, he could explain the process and translate the documents instantaneously ! In 2020, we purchased a second property as a holiday home. Again Luis quietly guided the process having carefully appraised the documents beforehand. Given the additional COVID restrictions, it could have been really difficult, but no. So, based on this and my earlier house purchase experience I can only say that Luis is extremely competent and very professional. The costs were entirely reasonable, too.

Luis Dias assisted us with a property transaction this past January. He was not only extremely professional and responsive, he was incredibly kind and courteous as well. When the nearby tax office could not process our documents, he persisted in finding an open office and driving us there in his own car.
