I found the Centro de Saude to helpful both with registration and prescribing my medication. They have been polite and efficient during each visit despite my poor Portuguese. Thank you.

I had to go to the clinic to have my bandage changed for my stitches. You go upstairs and take a number to get registered, which took about 45 minutes. Then I got an appointment to come back in 2 hours to get the bandage done. Receptionist had very little English but it was enough. A passing nurse was more fluent and explained the process to me. The doctor was friendly, very fluent and professional. I was able to get another appointment in several days time to again have the bandage removed (so no waiting required to get registered).

No answer on the phone at all chasing up for my wife who's pregnancy is near the end the whole duration theres been no contact its impossible to get hold of the reception

worst health center in the world i think.,..they never answer the phone when you do get to see a doctor .. they give all english the same dr dr antonio cavalo who has absolutly no idea .. i do not know one patient he has treated well .. he treated me fror a year on someone eles results .. this man should not be allowed to treat people

TRAVELERS AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Incompetent nursing staff, and rude to visiting tourists. They were reluctant to help, and when they did, they were incompetent and did not follow the hospitals treatment plan. Removed 2 day old stitches that should have remained in place for two weeks! A disgrace to Portugal. Go at your own risk! Go to one of the many private hospitals and clinics instead. The service at the private establishments were top notch and affordable.

Depends on the day, time and who is working, but this place is usually chaotic and not very well organised. You can expect to wait for hours to schedule an appointment, to see your doctor or anything else, even when you have priority. There are a few very kind people, who deserve to get rewarded and work with a better team. However, there's also people who seem to be there just because it's their job and not because they like to attend the patients. Many times I've seen employees just strolling down their Facebook feeds on the work computers. Shouldn't these sites be banned/block off from such working environments?
