Good for kids
Lovely circular walks which change significantly with the seasons... Half the walk is by flooded Meadows in the winter/spring which completely dry out in the summer. The other half through beautiful Cork Oak woods. There are a couple of hides to watch the prolific birdlife, especially on the floods in winter (bring binoculars!) and a covered picnic spot where you can collect owl pellets to dissect later! Always worth the walk...

If you are into wildlife or just fancy a walk its a great place to visit. I go every time I'm in the area. Over the last few years there have been substantial improvements to the footpaths and a new bird hide has been built. Well worth a visit

The only place around santarem where you have silence....no roads....no houses....just birds and wild boars if you are lucky.

as coordenadas do google estão completamente erradas e não fui a única pessoa que passou pelo mesmo. Estava em Alpiarça quando liguei os gps ( 2 - do carro e do telemovel ) e estas coordenadas enviaram me para de Volta a Santarém e daí para uma herdade que não dá acesso a reserva porque as coordenadas indicam o centro da lagoa. Tive que voltar a fazer quase que o percurso inverso !!! Já deveriam ter alterado estas coordenadas, já deveriam ter alterado estas coordenadas porque as pessoas da herdade referiram que não fui o único a aparecer por lá Zero pelas coordenadas.... De resto um local agradável e bom para quem quer observar aves migratórias e não só
