Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location, next to Mercado dos Lavradores and old town where you will find lots of restaurants and bars.

The location is excellent, very central to everything in the city. The property was very clean and the staff both friendly and responsive. They provide a phone number to text using WhatsApp and will respond during their staffed hours. There was also a lot of space in our 2 bedroom sofa bed room. With lots of additional space for storage if you need it (luggage etc). We stayed on 4th floor Oceano room. Elevator is available.
The place is really nice and cozy. It's a perfect location, right in the middle of everything. Good walking distance for everything. The only bad thing and it could have just been our room but it smelled of garbage. We had to open the windows to air it out. Other then that, it's a good place.
Marketplace kindly let us rebook our room after our flight was cancelled due to high winds at Funchal Airport. However we were disappointed to find that our room had been downgraded with no prior warning. When we realised, we confronted them about it. They explained the larger room that we'd paid for wasn't available for our new dates. It would have been nice to know this in advance as we could have either chosen different days or gone somewhere else. We'd reserved and paid for the larger room for a reason. Even an apology would have been appreciated. To be honest, their communication was really bad . There was no-one on-site to speak to about any issues. We stayed from Saturday to Wednesday, and they only came to "check us in" on Tuesday. Aside from this the room was pleasant enough. Breakfast at the café was a bit boring: it consisted of 3 bread rolls and a croissant, pretty tiresome every morning.

Great location, super clean,, very cozy, quality price excelent, only minus you can hear bus noise after 6AM
Cozy and very clean apartment. Beds are comfortable but the pillows are very inconvenient. It is not the street/traffic-noise that does not let you sleep at night but the horrible humming of the airing or ventilation of the bakery next door where you get the breakfast (coffee is excellent and the staff friendly after a few days). But what is best is the restaurant Mel e Canela just around the corner (direction Pingo Doce then turn left) which has opened a week ago.
Wow we were amased! In the middle of the center of Funchal. Newly restored and very well equiped. Is avaiable without breakfast which is served in the bakery next to the appartments. And a supermarket is only 50 meters away
