Nice place to hang out by the sea.

Great natural salt water pool. One of the best spots but a bit expensive to go if you don't have the card. Also this new reowkr became a bit too grey, before it was more pure white and blue.

Great spot, made better after the renovations. Go with a local resident that has a card as it will be half the cost.

The most important thing is that this place gives you the ability to safely dip into the Atlantic Ocean. As an added bonus you can rent a lounge chair and umbrella, swim in a pool with ocean water, shower off, go to a café etc... Prices are very reasonable and staff is helpful and polite as is customary on Madeira.

Lovely bathing complex with everything you need for a day by the sea.

Nice big pool, with all the amenities and plenty of space outside of the high season, although the access to the ocean may be closed at that time. I was there in February and March 2020 and for me it wasn't too cold to swim (overall water temperature of pool and ocean was given as 19C). The opening times differed from what is mentioned here though: the complex was only open until 6pm, but the last 2 hours (so from 4pm) you can get in for half price - handy to know if you just want to do some laps.

It is apparently closed in winter and nobody warns you, you just buy your ticket to go inside and find nothing
