It's a very beautiful public garden just in the center of town. Be careful with with the people asking money, some are thieves.

Beautiful place in the center of the city. Close to the central avenue. There is a taxi stop here. Many amazing plants and flowers, a small duck's lake, an open space cafe. There are also many monuments here.

Jardim Municipal do Funchal Christmas Lights and Festivities Around this Location By now most of you reading my reviews on Madeira will realise I love this place with a passion. Visiting Jardim Municipal Park Gardens throughout the seasons will make you realise how much goes on in this small central place. Flowers, specimen plants, shrubs and trees from other parts of the world are planted here. They can be seen in full profusion whatever time you choose to visit. There is a small amphitheater here which is fully facilitated all year round. Films, local music and artists perform here whatever the occasion. So during Christmas festivities you will find small stalls selling local crafts, ranging from home made delicacies, jewellery,famous Madeiran embroidery, cakes and wine. For the children there are rides lit up with lights. A most amazing nativity scene can be seen along the length of the street, along with people in traditional clothing and the most amazing Christmas lights distributed around the town. This is a wonderful time to visit this place with its atmosphere and festivities.

A Winter

Bad place to go, park with flowers and ponds. There are Mosquitos which could have Denguevirus. I had one on my upper arm.

A nice park with lots of different flowers and (interesting) trees. At the Christmas time this is one of the loveliest places in Funchal, specially for children.
