A friendly baptist church that provides a special service for English speaking holiday makers. We've attended a number of these services over many years as we enjoy regular holidays to Madeira. We always get a warm welcome here & we've always appreciated the good bible based teaching. It's also a lovely opportunity to gather with fellow believers from the UK, and from other countries, to worship the Lord and to enjoy fellowship with each other whilst on holiday.

This is a small but lively evangelical English speaking church. When we went the place was packed and we really enjoyed the Bible teaching. The church is a bit out of the centre of Funchal in a residential area. But they are buying an old church building in the centre of town and when refurbished they should have more space and even more visitors

As a regular visitor to the church over a number of years I have found it to be a friendly place, with a core group of locals and expats who love the Lord and desire to see his Kingdom spread on the island. They also aim to provide refreshment to a constantly changing congregation which often represents several different nations. The church may not provide polished worship or world-class preaching, but in my experience does provide a warm welcome and the opportunity to share fellowship with other believers. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
