Charming little tea house, fresh juices and handmade cake with a nice view from upstairs.

The cake was good and at a good price. But the fresh mint tea had a really \strange\ side-taste that was not enjoyable. It also highly irritated me, that the woman serving us didn't mind to ever take out her in-ear headphone, which also partly played so loud I was able to listen.
This café is a lovely and quiet stop in Funchal's old town. The sandwiches are handmade to order and absolutely lovely, the tea aromatic and flavourful.
This is a lovely place with warm-hearted owners. You can sit inside or outside or on the balcony facing cable car park. There is great variety of teas, some very good cakes and excellent toasts and sandwiches with avocado, mozzarella and such. They make their own lemonade as well. Definitely one of my favourite tea houses in the world!
A very nice tea house in the center of Funchal with a great variety of tea options, juices, sandwiches, salads, and cakes. They had gluten free cake options when we visited, however no gf sandwiches. The sandwiches are however very tasty otherwise.

Nettes kleines Kaffee/Teehaus mit leckeren Kuchen und einer kleinen Auswahl an Sandwiches und Salaten. Für den kleinen Hunger ist es auch möglich, nur ein halbes Stück Kuchen auszuwählen. Gute Teeauswahl. Das Café befindet sich in der ersten Etage. Es gibt eine kleine Terrasse mit Hockern. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, die Preise sind OK.
