Was there for 3 hours. Did nothing, but watched trains , and beautiful fishes. Very calm place. It attracts joggers and people who walk. Best place to hangout with friends and have a peaceful talk. There are some coffee shops and ice cream Parlour also

After visiting this place in February at around 20.00 we realised there's now one outside. The whole place was asleep. In the quiet we visited different areas of this place at night and the quietness and naked sky gave this place a romantic atmosphere.

Worth visiting on a sunny warm day. The area has a number of things to do for families and those who interested in history and architecture. Oh... look up and you can see pelicans and their nests. We took in the sights. We visited a few churches. You could spend the afternoon walking and sightseeing as well as experiencing the local cuisine. Walk along the walkway or rent a sag way. There are local tours as well.

Very pretty harbour with lots of restaurants and nicely between old and new town

After a lot of walking exploring the area, we sat down on a bench in the shade to take in the late afternoon atmosphere - pedestrians strolling by in all directions, locals playing card games at tables, a live jazz performance at the cocktail bar across the street adding to the ambiance. All about 'hygge' more than the actual state of the landscaping and planting.

Beautiful historic buildings in Faro. I love the architecture here: a very aesthetically pleasing feast for the eyes, and peaceful too. Considering the Portuguese / Spanish wars that were fought on this border, the contrast to modern European culture is stark. A much happier place today, but with a dark and interesting past. Well worth spending time here to consider the history and enjoy the beauty and peace the we have today
