SIX STARS! A friend and I - both older riders - bought electric mountain bikes from Rafael and Sophia. We love the bikes but they get a sixth star for their service and effort. During covid good bikes were hard to find. With almost nothing in stock in any of the island stores they went above and beyond to find them on the continent. Maybe that part was expected but their build of the bikes was first rate and the almost half day they took to fit the bikes to us and to walk us through every aspect of the bikes was a welcome surprise. Highly recommended. This is a smart, service-oriented independent shop. You can trust them and that feels good!

I was very happy with my bike rental experience with Bicicletaria Azores! I needed a good hardtail mtb for exploring the island and this shop really hooked me up. Great rental price, great service, and just the right kind of bike available in good condition. Having a good rental bike really made my Soa Miguel trip the best it could be.

We rented bikes and circumnavigated the island over six days. Ana was great in answering questions from stateside, and even delivered bikes to our hotel. Great equipment, great communications, great people. I highly recommend!

Quick service & good value
We were supposed to go on a tour but the weather was rainy. These guys were willing to tolerate the rain for us, and were very kind when we cancelled. They even bought us coffee and chatted about bikes while we waited for our taxi! Very good customer service!
