A fantastic museum for steam train fans

It's a really beautiful museum with beautiful trains. It's nice to the entire family and I can safely recommend it

Fantastic collection of old locomotives, wagons and railway memorabilia. Not at all crowded. Helpful staff. Would have been a 5 star rating if they could find a way to allow the public to enter at least a few of the railwaycars.

A very pleasant surprise. Very well organized, way bigger than expected. Plan to spend at least 2 hours there (and way more if you're a train nerd).

Nice to see old trains and some history regarding the railway system of Portugal, but nothing really giving a WOW factor unless you are really passionate about old (and often rusty) trains

Wonderful! A must visit place (with time!)

Railway museum with a very decent collection, located right next to the train station(you have to cross the second, more distant bridge all the way to the left). Unfortunately the more general text boards in the permanent collection are without English translations (the explanations of the specific items are translated, though). Some additional viewing stands would be nice as well in order to look into more waggons and the locomotives...

Had a lovely time because I’m a train freak, reckon not the most exciting visit for those who don’t care that much. I particularly wanted to see the German trains PORTUGAL received as compensation for WWI, they were there but the personnel working there wasn’t able to inform me correctly.
