I went here with my wife and Although we made no appointment we were served by friendly man. It was w nice experience to listen how Madera's wine is made. We got nice deguststion and all needed information to pick most tasty (for us) wine. I can surly recomend to go and check this place out.

Highly recommend! The owner was very kind and show us all steps of production madeira wine. At the end was wine testing and he let us try wine from the year we (I and my wife) were born! It is possible to buy wine and accessories. I am very sad that we couldn't buy full size bottles to home, because we only have cabin luggages. I hope I can find wines from this winery in Poland :-) I will tell all my friends who are planning a visit to Madeira to add this place as must have point ;-)

One of the best two winery tours we highly recommend. The staff presenting and introducing winery is also the most knowledgeable compared to other wineries we visited (we visited every winery). Their wide range of Madeiras from dry to sweet, uniquely, can drink on its own. Depending on your personal preference, you will find Barbeitos a distinctive style, elegant, smooth yet powerful and complex. Recommending the 40 year or 50 year sweet Madeira - if it’s not included in the package, ask to pay extra to have a try of these glasses

This is the place where they make Barbeito madeira wine and do tours. Tours are great and we had a taste of 8 different kinds including vintage ones. Host was very welcoming. Would recommend.

My boyfriend and I visited Barbeito’s a few days ago and were amazed by how great the wines are! Leandro is a friendly and knowledgeable host who selected our tastings based on our preferences. The prices range from very affordable to pricey. But if you taste them, you’ll want a special bottle to take home!

Amazing experience touring the facilities and an even better experience tasting the amazing Madeira wine. We forgot to book ahead but the host was gracious enough to let us tag along on his next scheduled tour. He gave a passionate tour and tasting experience, and you could tell how much he loved his job. The wine was also so phenomenal! I would highly recommend it.
