Unfortunately this winery is ranked the lowest among all the wineries we visited in Madeira. The online booking only has a 1pm slot on their website (you can’t choose a time slot). However when we arrived at the lodge, the staff were at lunch break - on the winery door it says lunch time 1-2pm... we waited till 2pm, the lodge also doesn’t have any tour or introduction to their winemaking. The wines unfortunately is also our last favorite compared to other brands. With that said, however if you want a quick introduction or if you are not super into wine just want a general tasting, then Henrique is the place

Nice Stuff, very good maderian wine

Good shop and opportunity to taste almost all of their wines, anything other than the 3 year old maderia is at a reasonable charge. Other than that and lots of barrels, was left a bit disappointed, felt there could be lots more historical and how its made information as there was next to none that we could see.

Interesting exhibition, free samples of 3 yr old wine. Place worth to visit just for a quick detour if you're not wine expert. We bought some 5cl bottles for 1 Euro each just for gifts.

If you like Madeira wine then you should visit here. You can try the different styles here as well as buy wines in the shop. Tip: don't buy the standard 5 or 10 year olds but rather try the older and rarer ones at the bar and buy them there as you will not be able to get hold of them easily elsewhere.

Had 4 tasters and bought for 192 bottles of your wine after and the lady handling us didn't even give us the tasters for free. Besides that, she seemed very uninterested in our presence and kicked us out the first time of the day we came because she wanted to go to lunch, so we had to come back. When we came back she seemed annoyed, and wasn't able to tell us much about the wine except for all the obvious things (wine age in the barrel and the taste can be like caramel and oak - wow) She was a terrible ambassador for your brand. What a shame when your wine is so good!

The best wine what I ever had in my life the Full rich doce. I'm trying to find out where can I buy it in the UK.
