The only good thing about Yamba is the stunning sunset view. My partner and I reserved a table 4th Sept at 6pm just a few days ago. Once we arrived we were waiting outside for a while behind a group trying to get a table whilst being told it was fully booked. I decided to ask the lady on the door if we could go to our table as we had a reservation it was by this point, 6:20pm. She pointed back to the line and told me 'your table is not ready, please wait till I tell you its ready'. She had not even asked my name for my booking, I proceeded to tell her my name and she told me to 'wait like everybody else' and pointed me to another area of the waiting space. At no point was I rude to this door lady, I certainly did nothing to deserve to be spoken to like that. Whoever was on the door that day should not be working in service. We were then shown to our table, a table for 8 inside. We asked had booked 7 days prior, there were groups bigger than us in smaller booths outside. We asked if we could have a suitable size table, the waitress told me as they were currently in the middle of switching shifts it would therefore take a while and suggested we sat at this table until someone was available to assist us. The whole experience was awful, I will be telling my friends here in London to not bother with Yamba when next visiting Portugal.
Great setting, lovely live music, the staff were all fantastic, especially Ricardo who made our night. Quite reasonably priced too considering the setting!would recommend. We got there at 6.30 for sunset and the 2 HR rule wasn't strictly enforced. Thanks all!

Yamba is the best place in Portugal! I visited the country many times but this place is unique. I recommend it from my heart! Great design, amazing food, super friendly staff and sexy reception girls! I was there with a group of friends and we are all so happy with our experience. If you visit Lisbon, you have to have “Yamba Experience”.
Friendly service, delicious variety of food and amazing atmosphere and vibes. Eco conscious place, which feels good when you are surrounded by nature. Early hours are less busy, so pretty cool to enjoy are peacefull lunch with friends. It gets very busy with a nice crowd at the end of the afternoon with a breathtaking sunset right in front of you. I would definitely recommend this place in lisbon.
The initial experience I had in this place was so extraordinary I had to go back. Unfortunately, a lot altered two months after my first visit. The quality of the food wasn’t the same. I had the falafel pita, and after a couple of hours, my gut felt unsettled. The first time I visited, they even measure my temperature; felt now they had eased some COVID measures. One positive aspect, the cleanliness of the bathroom has improved. At last, the staff and the service are satisfactory; I love the vibe of the place and how they keep refurbishing it.
Great beach bar for sunset drinks and food. Love the decoration made with recycled materials. We had the prawn tacos which were delicious. The staff is also amazing, our waiter Nuno was super friendly and even gave us some tips to surf around the area.
