Beautiful city Coimbra, great food and biggest meringue I saw in my life.

Great service! The waitress offered us an English menu when she saw us struggling to understand the Portuguese version. Nice! I like the range of drinks offered especially the hot beverages. My partner, a coffee lover, ordered a large cup of Americano coffee and was very happy with it. For myself, I opted for a sardine sandwich with roasted red peppers (capsicum). The bread was nicely toasted and dressed with olive oil. It was yummy. I chose a cup of carioca de limāo, a simple drink of lemon zest in hot water which went down well with me.

Awesome natas and coffee, really good service no matter which one you go into.

Excellent pastéis de nata. The world definitely needs them! ;)

Wonderful coffee and a great place to enjoy small bites with the locals. Near by shops for show pieces and souvenirs are also in the vicinity. Being in front of a passage gives it a cool vibe.

Cozy place in the morning, when it's not crowded.

Had their brunch. It looked good! But it wasn't... Bread was dry, cheese was crusty, butter looked like it been heated up and then cooled off again. When they served it the bread came late, they forgot the butter and I never got a croissant. Furthermore, I had to go to the toilet quite a lot that day, had a tummy ache and didn't eat anything else! Only reason they're not getting only one star is because they had run out of scrambled eggs but offered me a quiche instead.

Horrible service. The waiters are always doing 20 other things and it takes ages before they reach your table. Prices are expensive (1,10 for 1 pastel de nata?!) and the service is horrible. We ordered 3 toasted bread with cheese. Two arrived, the third one would not have been made is no remark would have been said to the waiter. After waiting for 15 minutes the third toasted bread arrived, but instead of cheese it was ham and cheese. No apology, acted as if nothing was wrong with the order. Not going back here again.
