Small museum/gallery in a beautiful park. A nice quick and enjoyable stop.

Very disappointing. Having visited the Water Museum in Lisbon we had hoped to see some machinery and find out more about how water was supplied to Coimbra. We were the only people there. There was a very small display of water metres and a cut away of a fire hydrant. Two screens showed where the water fountains are located in Coimbra but there was nothing else, no obvious art or other exhibitions that others have referenced. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. Other than providing a pleasant walk by the river and some interesting moss and fern covered trees near the museum it’s not worth visiting. It is however free!
The Water Museum is located at Coimbra old Water Collection Station, built in 1922. This space houses art exhibitions and cultural activities. Visitors can also explore its sanitation structure, which is preserved and exposed in its interior.

Lugar muito acolhedor! Perfeito para passar uma tarde agradável com os amigos
Um excelente local de paragem para quem se passeia ou faz caminhada e quer fazer uma pausa. Exposições, água fresca e um pouco de cultura estão à sua espera.
