Went inside on a whim, not having prepared the visit. But was very pleasantly surprised. Lots to see, lots of details. Lots of history. And yes, the tombs of the two kings of Portugal are here, but that's only part of the rich story behind these walls. It's one of my highlights in this great city.

The initial attraction of visiting this church was that it housed the tombs of the first two kings of Portugal. However, the church has much more to offer. The beautiful tiling and architecture as well worth a visit. Take time to walk around the entire church as there is so much to see. There is no fee for this visit. There is a lovely sense of peace here.

Very interesting. Many exhibits. Lots to see. Explanations in English, French and Spanish. Worth the 3 entrance price.

If you are in Coimbra, this is a must visit. I was living in the city center so this was easier for me and there are several other attractions nearby. So make sure you get inside this. I was under the impression that there is a fee involved but there is not to check the Church. I stayed there for more than 30 minutes. Really interesting.

Nice interesting place where the 1st king of Portugal rests. Beautiful inner court, nice azulejos (blue wall tiles). Very friendly and welcoming guide. Easily accesible as it still is in the cidade baixa velha (lower old city).

We arrived and heard the organ, it's gorgeous! The visit allowed us to check all details inside the monastery and also understand a little more of San Francisco's history.

Most peaceful experience in Portugal. I went there Monday afternoon in Nov, so it was really quiet, very few people. I was able to spend time in cloister for good 15-20min without seeing another soul. Very calm, relaxing place. 3 ticket, well worth it!
