Delicious francesinha, definitely one you should try when in Coimbra, with a rich and lightly spicy sauce, tasty pork filling and the perfect egg on top. The large francesinha might be good enough to share of not too hungry, includes a side of fries. Fair price, good and friendly service with a cool environment. They only open at night and accept portuguese debit/credit card.

Average restaurant in Coimbra. Francesinhas are famous (nor as much as the Atenas café though) and pretty solid. Tried the vegetarian one and it was ok but not great. Service was good.

A bit small but cozy, tasty food and good staff

Food was okay, but too much up selling (more things arriving at the table than asked) and expensive

I don't know what happened to this place, but I have the feeling that it went downhill. The food is great and the staff is rather polite. However, I went there in December, and even though they weren't completely full, it took us about 2 hours to get our stuff. Lost misinterpreted orders, but on top of that terrible excuses to justify that, such as that a board of cheese had to be prepared by the chef and that was the reason why it had taken 30m to get it. Used to love it, but I feel that I won't go back.

Food was very good and especially the Francesinha. However the service was quite slow about 1h30 waiting to be served.

Great place! Great food at a reasonable price! Friendly staff and great house wine! Would highly recommend trying the \Francesinhas\ (possibly the best in town)!
