Excelente service on check in to the bus, the welcome on board, once in Regua, was fine. The lunch was exquisite, the wine divinal. the river banks all along were a unic view. A \must come back\ without any thoughts.

Great trip, lovely way to appreciate Douro. Great food and staff to satisfy every need.

Honestly guys, my grandfather on long distance cargo ships ate better than this. Breakfast: piece of dry bread, coffee and milk. Butter (margarine) and some fake jam. Enjoy your 1 euro breakfast! How hard is it to give out even 1 slice of hamon per person and buy a fresh loaf of bread in Portugal? Overall the scenery was nice but barcadouro has no right to take credit for this. If I knew how lousy the service will be, I would take a private car. No guidance, no knowledge sharing, very plain food. I cannot say the day was wasted but we could have experienced the Valley much better, this is worth EUR30-40 at most.

This was a massive disappointment and such a shame. Please be aware that if you leave on 8am ferry you will not get to pinhao until 5pm. It is not a cruise with stops along the way. It is a non stop cruise with 1 glass of moscatel port and some light nibbles at the end. Also the scenery until Regua is pretty similar all the way, it's pleasant but not amazing. The breakfast which we were told was included was just 2 bread rolls. The lunch was ok but the lady next to us had issues with the crew not knowing what gluten free meant. They thought potatoes and rice had gluten so she was given a meal of meat and veg only. The communication from the announcements was incomprehensible and while I understand English is not the first language we paid for a tour in English. Also we weren't told where we were going when we finally left the boat so I asked. I was met with a sarcastic comment, 'do you not know where we are'. For 170 for 2 I expected a lot more and It was a poor experience.

Bad experience. I am on the boat cruise to Regua right now and it is the worse tour ever, and the biggest waste of a day of holiday and money. We paid 206 as a couple for a tour to the valley winery tour, returning by train. It's like being stuck in a terrible wedding, with bad music, no entertainment and terrible food for 7 hours. Yes, 7 long hours it the boat trip from Porto to Regua, for what will be just a 40 minutes wine tour in Regua. You are on the boat for all this time. Nobody told us the boat would take 7 hours to get to Regua. So basically it's a 7 hours of boat trip looking at the same scenery, 1.5 hours in the train to go back and only 40 minutes on the wine tour, the reason we did the tour in the first place. On top of this the boat is overcrowded, you are jammed on top of each other to eat breakfast and lunch (terrible food). The music is horrible, no snacks in between, not even the Port aperitif served to us...and on the decking very uncomfortable chairs and not enough for everyone. What a waste of a day. Don't do it to yourselves!!!

I seldom write negative reviews but feel compelled to warn others about these cruises. We took the 2 day cruise with overnight accommodations in a hotel. The hotel was very nice and our dinner was good, however, the cruise part of the event was NOT as advertised. We expected several port wine tastings, time to explore quaint villages, and a leisurely couple of days on the Douro - what we got was a crowded boat without enough seats for everyone to enjoy the upper deck, endless cruising with only one real stop for exploring and wine tasting. The second day was marked by more endless cruising, an increasingly loud group of 55 celebrating a birthday, and numerous young children running from one end of the boat to the other unsupervised (in their defense, there was nothing to entertain kids - I wanted to escape as well!).To top it off, the buses to take us to the train station at the end of our cruising were an hour late and then we embarked on a nearly 4 hour train ride (arriving at 11:15 pm) back to Porto. The tour was very expensive 250 Euro and NOT worth the money. The scenery is beautiful and interesting but much the same throughout the duration of the trip. A one day cruise would be MUCH better - better still a cruise on one of the smaller boats (12-20 people) would be more enjoyable.

If you want scenery and a day of doing nothing this is perfect for you. If you want to explore and learn more about the Douro valley region and actually spend your day wisely, please don't bother. For 90 Euros I expected more info from the guides at what we were floating past. And I say floating because this boat moved at a glacier pace. Took us 7.5 hours to reach Porto. And the audio we did receive was inaudible, only mumbling words. The company should do a sound check before they leave the port. Was nothing to do on the boat because look at the small vineyards and little villages. Provide us with more snacks, and info on Port wine or the region. Please don't bother for a sightseeing trip. And if you want a relaxing day on your trip, might as well watch a movie in your hotel room. At least you're not trapped on a boat or train for 9 hours. Was the most boring day trip I've ever experienced in my life hands down. I wish I had not have spent the money and wasted the time.

Viagei hoje no cruzeiro Régua/Pinhão/Régua com um grupo de onze pessoas. Fomos recebidos no barco e atendidos durante o cruzeiro como príncipes!!! Staf extremamente simpático e atencioso. Comida ótima. Bem hajam.
