The best restaurant I went to in Portugal! Had dinner here for two nights. The atmosphere and decor are classy but comfortable and understated. I had an avocado mango salad, the vegan main and the salmon were both good. They have a variety of fish and meat main dishes and also some vegan/vegetarian options. Also really nice desserts and cocktails/wine. I've had worse food with higher prices in the country, so I think the price here is fair and definitely worth it.

I visited for dinner two nights in a row... this is the best restaurant I visited in Portugal! I had both fish and vegetarian dinners, with a variety of appetisers, good wine, cocktails and desserts. The service was very professional and our waiter kindly explained about the dishes. Everything is nice.

The best meal we had in Algarve! Their tuna tataki is unbelievably good! The goat cheese roll also left us begging for more! On top of that, service is extremely attentive. Don’t be fooled by the uninspiring look from the outside, o Marinheiro will defiantly surprise you!

We had a nice dinner at O Marinheiro. The servers are very friendly and take good care of you. The food looks good, but there is a difference in quality between the dishes. The aged steak was as perfect as they come and delicious, but the potatoes served with it were maybe a bit boring. The tuna looked gorgeous but in the end was \only\ okay. The restaurant looks nice, but for Portuguese standards it is expensive (we spend 80 for 2 people). The quality of the food is good but I would expect more for the money you pay.

We were a big group of 16 ppl and book a table one day in advance. Food is good but I would say not typical local restaurant. It is make more for tourist . I had John Fary fish and was good .

Top Notch, amazing food at affordable prices. We found out about this place from the Michelin Guide and the description was right on! We ate the Cod and the Sea-Bass both amazing, we also order a side of french fries they were super crispy and tasteful!

Awesome! From the food to the staff, everything was perfect. Such a memorable evening and the food is just out of this world. I would put it up there as one of my favourite all time meals!

Lovely evening on our last night in Portugal. The service was fantastic. Very accommodating of our little baby joining us. The atmosphere is perfect, we sat out on the outside area which is lovely at sunset. We had some small welcome appetizers bought to the table which was a nice surprise. The food i'd say is just ok. We had the fish of the day which was quite bland tasting could have done with a jus or dressing and something to go with the polenta. The prawn curry was nice but also lacking a bit of flavour. Overall a wonderful evening but I'd say the food could so with a bit more interesting flavours. I'd probably return down to atmosphere and also didn't find many places in Portugal to have very flavoursome food.
