Was going to just go out for Portuguese food during our stay but on the way to the supermarket we passed the diner and decided on the way back to our hotel to stop here. It was a really great choice as the service was brilliant and extremely friendly, even with my dodgy Portuguese, as the waitress spoke good English. The food arrived quickly but had been freshly cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend the diner to anyone wanting a little bit of America in Portugal.

We went here two mornings during our stay. Greeted with a smile and a lovely American-style breakfast. The menu is huge - really wished we had gone here for dinner since it all sounded delicious!
I come to the American Diner for years now, I was driven in by the food, which to me seems to be really authentic. I learned over the years they do fligh in many ingredients directly from the States and that every meal is prepared in the exact moment you order it, nothing is pre-made in their kitchen. What kept me going, the environment and atmosphere created with a lovely decoration, the consistency of quality of their meals and the sympathy with which you're welcomed, do try it.
We only had drinks but they were very friendly and it's was nice
